Yesterday, April 19, 2022, the repair personnel of the Chornobyl NPP restored the direct telephone connection of the station site with the operational duty officer of the SNRIU.

From the morning of April 20, daily information on the current state of safety of nuclear and radiation facilities is received from the Chornobyl shift manager to the SNRIU Information and Crisis Center by e-mail according to established procedures.

According to the management of the Chornobyl NPP, the rotation of the station's personnel takes place on a planned basis by land, taking into account the assessment of the situation along the route.

SES units are continuing to take measures to eliminate military threats (demining the territory, search for explosive devices and ammunition, etc.) at the Chornobyl NPP facilities and outside the industrial site.

Despite the fact that unauthorized intervention or withdrawal of radioactive materials from the facilities of SSE "Chornobyl NPP" by operational personnel was not recorded, during the military occupation from 24.02 to 31.03.2022, an unscheduled inventory of IRS, special physical inventory of nuclear weapons storage conditions for radioactively contaminated equipment and materials.

Measures are also being taken to fully inspect the engineering and technical means of the physical protection system of the industrial site, Shelter facility, ISF-2, and the possibility of resuming the transportation of spent nuclear fuel from ISF-1 to IFS-2 is being studied.
