According to the information received from the operating organization (NRC KIPT) on 28 March 2022, the NSI “Neutron Source” came under shelling once again at about 14:00.

As a result of another act of nuclear terrorism committed by the russian federation, buildings and infrastructure located on the NRC KIPT territory (including the NSI “Neutron Source”) were severely damaged.

At the moment, it is not possible to estimate in detail the extent of the damage due to the hostilities, which do not cease in the nuclear installation location area.

We emphasize that the NSI “Neutron Source”, as well as any other nuclear installation, is not designed for operation in conditions of combat operations. Continuation of its bombing and/or shelling can lead to severe radiation consequences with the contamination of the surrounding territories.
