On January 22, 2021, Unit № 2 of Khmelnytskyi NPP is on scheduled preventive repairs, the condition of the reactor unit is "stopped for repairs".

At 16:35 on January 22, 2021, during the scheduled work on testing under operating voltage of the block transformer of the power unit № 2 KhNPP, according to the incorrectly generated signal, the diesel generator № 3 was put into operation.

According to a preliminary assessment, this event is qualified as a violation of the category "P09" in accordance with NP 306.2.100-2004 "Regulations on the procedure for investigation and accounting of violations in the operation of nuclear power plants."

INES level – "0 level".

There were no comments on the actions of staff.

Radiation condition at the Khmelnytskyi NPP is unchanged.
