As of 10 March 2022, the situation at the nuclear subcritical installation “neutron source based on a subcritical assembly driven by a linear electron accelerator” (neutron source) remains unchanged:
the neutron source is in deep subcritical state (long-term shutdown);
radiation background (ambient equivalent gamma and neutron radiation rate at staff workplaces and neutron source site) has not changed and is within acceptable limits;
staff continue measures to eliminate the bombing consequences and keep the neutron source equipment in operable condition.
Recall that the neutron source located on premises of the National Science Center “Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology” (Kharkiv) came under fire. The bombing caused damage to a series of neutron source equipment and buildings.
