Ukraine is represented at the IAEA General Conference by an official delegation headed by the Head of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine Hryhorii PLACHKOV.

The delegation includes representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, NNEGC Energoatom, SSTC NRS.

Hryhorii PLACHKOV, the Head of the Delegation from Ukraine, in his speech during the general debate stressed the significant contribution of the IAEA in the implementation of tasks in the field of non-proliferation, nuclear safety and security. He also thanked the Agency for its constant support in the implementation of cooperation projects aimed at the decommissioning of the Chornobyl NPP and the construction of the New Safe Confinement. 

Ukraine expressed special gratitude to the Agency for the operational technical assistance provided to the countries in the form of diagnostic equipment for the detection of coronavirus COVID-19.
