On March 11, 2013, Chairman of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine Ms. Olena Mykolaychuk met with Assistant Secretary for Nuclear Energy Dr. Peter Lyons at the U.S. Department of Energy

Both sides highly commended the existing level of interaction between Ukraine and the United States in the area of nuclear energy. Ms.Mykolaichuk and Dr. Lyons also discussed the ways to promote bilateral and international cooperation in strengthening the safety of civil nuclear facilities.
