 Deputy Chairman Ms Tetyana Kilochytska

Born in 1973 in Chernigiv region (Ukraine), in 1995 Ms Kilochytska earned a degree in radiobiology having graduated from Kyiv State University named after Taras Shevchenko.

Ms Kilochytska has been working as a civil servant in the national regulatory bodies on nuclear and radiation safety since 1995. Since 2001 she has worked in the State Nuclear Regulatory Committee of Ukraine holding a position of the Deputy Head of the Department on Radioactive Waste Management, since 2011 – in the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine as the Head of the Department on Radioactive Waste Management and Decommissioning Safety.

Fluent in both English and German languages. Ms Kilochytska is actively engaged as an expert by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) within the framework of carrying out a number of international projects aimed at elaboration of documents on radioactive waste management and decommissioning. During 2013-2015 she participated in IAEA IRRS (Integrated Regulatory Review Service) Missions in the Czech Republic and Kingdom of the Netherlands from Ukrainian side. Besides, she takes an active part in the project launched by the Nuclear Energy Agency concerning experience exchange and prospects for managing large volumes of radioactive waste, resulting from the accident at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in Japan.

By the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 311-r dated 8 April 2015 Ms Kilochytska was appointed as a Deputy Chairman of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine.
