Chairman of the SNRIU - Chief State Inspector for Nuclear and Radiation Safety of Ukraine Hryhorii PLACHKOV held a meeting and presented the management of NNEGC Energoatom with a license for the right to operate at the life cycle stage of operation of the Zaporizhzhya NPP unit 5.

During the meeting, Hryhorii PLACHKOV drew the attention of the operating organization to the need to improve the quality of activities related to the extension of service life, which is related to the preparation for the commissioning of power units after its repairs; implementation of the measures provided for in the program of preparation for the extension of the service life and timely approval of the scope of implementation of these measures, taking into account the provision of the necessary safety justifications.

According to the issued license, the next date of the periodic safety reassessment of the power unit is May 27, 2030.
