The Zaporizhzhia NPP and Enerhodar city are occupied by the Russian military units since 4 March 2022. Apart from the aggressor-country military, representatives of the State Atomic Energy Corporation of the Russian Federation “Rosatom” are illegally present at the ZNPP site for a long time.

The ZNPP personnel and their families are under constant psychological pressure due to the presence of hostile military occupiers on the NPP site and in the satellite city, as well as a large number of military vehicles. There is still a shortage of foodstuff and medicine in Enerhodar. 

Two ZNPP units are operating at power, the rest are under repair and in standby mode.

The regulatory oversight over nuclear and radiation safety directly at the ZNPP site is currently impossible to exercise, but the SNRIU continues maintaining contact with the ZNPP management.

According to information received from the ZNPP management:

-    operational personnel continue monitoring the state of power units and ensuring their safe operation in accordance with the requirements of the operating procedures;

-    the NPP operation is carried out exclusively by Zaporizhzhia NPP personnel, constant rotation of personnel is ensured;

-    no changes in the radiological situation at the NPP site, in the control area and observation area have been registered.
