On October 6, 2021, an unannounced inspection of the International Atomic Energy Agency under the Agreement between Ukraine and the IAEA in connection with the Non-Proliferation Treaty is being conducted at the Interim Spent Nuclear Fuel Dry Storage Facility (ISF-2) of  Chornobyl NPP. The inspection is carried out by inspectors of the Agency.

The purpose of the inspection is to verify the absence of undeclared nuclear material and undeclared nuclear activity.
