On October 4, 2021, an unannounced inspection of the International Atomic Energy Agency under the Non-Proliferation Treaty is being conducted at the Interim Storage Facility for Spent Fuel (ISF-1) and Interim Spent Nuclear Fuel Dry Storage Facility (ISF-2) of Chornobyl NPP. The inspection is carried out by inspectors of the Agency.

The purpose of the inspection is to verify the absence of undeclared nuclear material and undeclared nuclear activity.
