The IAEA inspection is being carried out at the new safe confinement and spent nuclear fuel storage facilities №1 and №2 of SSE Chornobyl NPP

From April 26 to 30, 2021, the NSC, SNF-1 and SNF-2 of the Chornobyl NPP will be inspected by the International Atomic Energy Agency within the framework of the Agreement between Ukraine and the IAEA in connection with the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. The inspection is carried out by inspectors of the Agency with the participation of SNRIU inspector.
The purpose of the inspection is to verify the absence of undeclared nuclear material and information on the design of the nuclear installation provided to Ukraine in accordance with the Agreement.
