Chairman of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine

Hryhorii Plachkov

Hryhorii Plachkov was born June 19, 1981 in Kyiv. In 2004 he graduated National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” with master's degree in nuclear energy.

Since 2004 Hryhorii Plachkov worked in a range of energy companies such as JSC “KYIVENERGO”, State Enterprise National Power Company “UKRENERGO”, State Enterprise “Energoremont” and Corporation “DTEK”.

During 2010-2013 he worked at the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine as a Head of Division of Directorate on Strategic Policy and Perspective Development of Fuel and Energy Complex.

From 2014 to 2016 Hryhorii Plachkov was Deputy Director for Investments and Perspective Development in National Nuclear Energy Generating Company “ENERGOATOM”.

In 2016 Hryhorii Plachkov returned to the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine as a Head of the Department of Industrial Nuclear Complex and later Head of Directorate for Nuclear Energy and Atomic Industry.

Hryhorii Plachkov was appointed as a Chairman of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine №757-p of October 25, 2017 based on the results of public competition organized by the Senior Civil Service Commission.
