Decision to create a single state system of control and accounting of individual radiation doses was made

On November 18, 2020 the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of November 18, 2020 № 1141 “Some issues of creating a unified state system of control and accounting of individual radiation doses” approved the Procedure for creating a unified state system of control and accounting of individual radiation doses and the corresponding action plan until 2023 made by SNRIU.

The implementation of the above-mentioned resolution will ensure the creation of a single system of control and accounting of individual radiation doses, which will increase radiation safety during the using of nuclear energy, ensure control over not exceeding the basic dose limits emergency exposure, provide optimization of exposure of personnel during activities in the field of nuclear energy.

Approaches to the creation of a unified state system of control and accounting of individual radiation doses and measures set out in the resolution which are in line with international practice, EU legislation and international safety standards (IAEA).

Some resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine recognize as invalid and contradictory to the current legislation and don’t comply with the basic international principles of radiation protection and the practice and legislation of the European Union after the adopting of resolution.
