On 8 February 2017, according to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 78-r, Borys Stoliarchuk was appointed the Acting Chairman of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine. Until the present time, he worked as the Director of SNRIU Department on Nuclear Installation Safety and was Deputy Chief State Inspector on Nuclear and Radiation Safety of Ukraine.

Borys Stoliarchuk has been working for the state nuclear and radiation safety regulatory system since 1992. He has been working in the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine since the moment of its creation in 2001. He held various positions in the SNRIU: Head of Division of Nuclear Installation Licensing of the Department of Nuclear Installation Safety Regulation, Head of Division of Nuclear Installation Coordinators – State Inspector of the Department of Nuclear Installation Safety Assessment, Head of the Department of Operational Safety and Life of Nuclear Installations – Deputy Chief State Inspector on Nuclear and Radiation Safety of Ukraine, Deputy Director of the Department on Nuclear Installation Safety – State Inspector.

Since June 2014, Borys Stoliarchuk took a position of the Director of the Department on Nuclear Installation Safety and Deputy Chief State Inspector on Nuclear and Radiation Safety of Ukraine.
