On September 21, 2021, the Chairman of the SNRIU Hrihorii Plachkov met with the Chairman of the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Christopher Hanson. The parties reaffirmed their interest in continuing cooperation and signed a "Memorandum of Meeting between the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine", which sets out directions and activities planned in 2021-2022.

Hrihorii Plachkov also took the opportunity to meet with the Head of the Nuclear Regulatory Authority of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Zafer Demirkan. The participants discussed issues of mutual interest in the context of building bilateral cooperation and the state of preparation for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine and the Nuclear Regulatory Authority of the Republic of Turkey.

Also, the Chairman of the SNRIU met with the Head of the IAEA Guarantees Division, Mr. J. Barozzo, and the staff of the Division working with Ukraine within the framework of the provisions of the Agreement between Ukraine and the IAEA on the application of safeguards and additional protocol. During the meeting, the issues of admission of inspectors to Ukraine's nuclear facilities for inspections, aspects of improving communications and information, renewal of the extended report for Ukraine and other working issues were discussed.
